Postpartum Doula

What is a postpartum doula?

A postpartum doula is there to help a new family in those first days and weeks after bringing home a new baby. Postpartum doulas provide families information and support on infant feeding, emotional and postpartum comfort measures from childbirth, infant soothing, and coping skills for new parents. Some things a postpartum doula might help with are:

  • Light housework (tidying, sweeping, dishes)

  • Light meal prep

  • Running errands

  • Assistance with newborn care such as diapering, bathing, feeding and comforting

  • Help incorporate an older child into this new experience

100% of families can benefit from a postpartum doula.
